OXVA Nexlim 2 Review: Does the Sequel Beat a Fan Favorite?

Sequels are tricky. When the original is already one of your favorite pod systems ever, the follow-up has a lot to live up to. That’s exactly the spot the OXVA Nexlim 2 finds itself in.

The first Nexlim was a device I kept coming back to. Big pods, big battery, great flavor. So when OXVA dropped the Nexlim 2, I wanted to know one thing: did they actually improve it, or just slap a new label on the same device?

I’ve been vaping this thing for a few days now, switching flavors, testing both pods, and pushing the battery. Let’s dig in.

What’s in the Box?

OXVA keeps it simple but generous here. Open the box, and you get:

  • The Nexlim 2 device
  • An OXVA USB-C charging cable
  • A 0.6ohm pod (rated 20–40W)
  • A 0.8ohm pod (rated 12–32W)
  • User manual
  • Use Suggestion Card

Two pods out of the gate is a nice touch. I’ve mostly been running the 0.8ohm pod, and it’s been great. You can drop it to 12W in eco mode or push it to 32W in boost. The 0.6ohm pod goes higher, from 20W all the way up to 40W.

Both pods fill from the top through a silicone flap. Just lift it and pour. Easy.

Design and Colorways

At a glance, the Nexlim 2 looks a lot like the first one. That’s not a bad thing. The original had a clean, slim shape, and OXVA kept that feel here.

I’ve got it in two colorways: a straightforward black and a brown-and-gold option I really like. The brown version has gold accents along the sides and a leather-like, pleather texture up top. It feels a little more premium than most pods in this class. The bottom has a ridged, grippy silicone finish, so it doesn’t slide around in your hand.

That brown-and-gold combo reminds me of an old Vaporesso XROS Mini colorway I loved. It just works. There are more colors available too, but these two are the ones I’ve been carrying.

One thing to note: there’s a button, but it’s not a fire button. The device is auto-inhale only. The button just wakes it up and lets you navigate settings. Five clicks turn it on or off, and a couple of clicks swap between eco and boost modes.

What’s New Over the Original

If you owned the first Nexlim, you’re probably wondering what actually changed. The short answer: the important stuff.

Here’s what OXVA upgraded:

  • The biggest jump is the battery. It’s now 2,000mAh, which means you go longer between charges. Pair that with USB-C fast charging, and downtime is barely an issue.
  • The pods got smarter too. You still get 4ml dual mesh pods on top, but now they run Anti-leaking Unite Tech 3.0. The originals already resisted leaks well. These take it further, which is a real fix for anyone who doesn’t vape the same pod every day.

OXVA also added a new Super Pulse system for stronger flavor, refreshed the UI themes, and kept the handy 3-way adjustable airflow on the side. Small changes, but they add up.

OXVA Nexlim 2 Specs

Here’s the full rundown before we get into how it vapes.

  • Battery: 2,000mAh, USB-C fast charging
  • Pods: 4ml top-fill, dual mesh
  • Resistances: 0.6ohm (20W–40W) and 0.8ohm (12W–32W)
  • Airflow: 3-way adjustable
  • Modes: Eco and Boost
  • Firing: Auto-inhale (no fire button)
  • Display: Shows pod, wattage, mode, and puff counter

A few notes worth flagging. The pods fill from the top through a silicone flap, which is quick and mess-free. There’s a button on the side, but it’s only for navigating the menu, not for firing. The device is fully draw-activated.

The box also comes with the USB-C cable plus both pods, so you get the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm right out of the gate.

Getting Set Up

Setup is simple. Five clicks turn it on. From there, the controls follow the same logic as the first Nexlim, so returning users will feel at home right away.

  • Two clicks: switch between Eco and Boost mode
  • Three clicks: adjust wattage
  • Four clicks: change the theme
  • Six clicks: toggle the vaping animation
  • Seven clicks: clear the puff counter

If the screen is asleep, a single tap on the side button wakes it up. I’ve been running the yellow-gold theme with the animation left on, since I actually like the way it looks.

Performance: Eco Mode vs Boost Mode

This is where the Nexlim 2 earns its spot. The flavor is honestly a little crazy.

Even in eco mode at 16W, the taste comes through rich and clean. I had it loaded with a fruity blend, and the flavor held up beautifully. If you want an easy, all-day vape, eco mode is plenty satisfying.

Switch to boost mode, and you feel the difference right away. At 30W, the hit gets denser and warmer with more oomph behind it. It’s the same pod, just more intensity.

The airflow adds another layer. With the 0.8ohm pod, the draw runs from a restricted direct lung down to a tighter feel. My sweet spot for an MTL hit was two holes open. Fully open, you can even push some decent cloud production for an RDL-style vape.

MTL vs RDL

The 0.8ohm pod is flexible. Wide open, it gives a restricted direct-lung draw with decent cloud production. But I mostly use it for MTL. My sweet spot is two airflow holes open, which tightens the draw just enough. If you want a looser vape, the 0.6ohm pod pushes up to 40 watts for more clouds.

Either way, the flavor is the standout. It’s rich, clean, and consistent across both modes.

Pod Longevity

Here’s what really sold me on the original, and the sequel keeps it going: these pods last.

On the first Nexlim, I hit past 2,500 puffs and still got great flavor after switching to boost mode. The Nexlim 2 pods should go even longer thanks to the upgraded internals. If you hate constantly swapping pods, this matters a lot.

The leak fix helps here too. On the original, I’d sometimes get minor leaks around the 3,000-puff mark if I let a pod sit. The new anti-leak tech is aimed right at that problem.

Honest Pros and Cons

No device is perfect. Here’s my straight take after using it.

What I like

  • Flavor is excellent in both Eco and Boost modes
  • Long pod life means fewer replacements
  • Big 2,000mAh battery with fast USB-C charging
  • Better anti-leak sealing than the original
  • Solid build with a premium feel in the brown/gold

What could be better

  • It’s a bit bigger than compact pods like the XLIM Pro 3. Bigger battery and bigger pods mean a larger body.
  • It’s slightly long, so it may stick out of tighter pockets.
  • 4ml pods are a big liquid commitment. If you like swapping flavors constantly, you’ll burn through more juice than you would with a 2ml pod. You’d have to dump a nearly full pod to change flavors.

To be fair, the size trade-off is reasonable. For how much battery and juice you’re carrying, the device stays pretty lightweight and slim. And the 4ml capacity is only a downside if you’re a frequent flavor-hopper. If you stick with one flavor for a while, it’s a win.

Final Verdict

The original Nexlim was already my go-to pod system, right up there with the OXVA XLIM Pro 3. The Nexlim 2 takes that formula and improves the two things that mattered most: a bigger battery and better pods.

The flavor is outstanding, the pods last forever, and the build quality feels solid and reliable. Yes, it’s slightly bigger than the smallest pods out there, and the 4ml capacity means more liquid per flavor swap. But those are small trade-offs for what you get in return.

If you want a pod system that nails flavor, lasts through the day, and holds up over time, the Nexlim 2 is an easy recommendation. Grab one, load your favorite juice, and see for yourself.

My take: fill the 0.8ohm pod, set it to two airflow holes, and start in Eco mode. You’ll see fast why this line has such a loyal following.
